Lombok Roadtrip
For one of our biggest adventures yet, our 16-18’s mapped out a two-night, three-day trip to Lombok to immerse into nature, seek thrills, venture into the unknown and celebrate a nine-month journey on THE ROAD together.
The theme for this trip was ‘duality’. There are two sides to every story, as Lombok taught us. A three-day epic of discomfort, struggle, relief and reward. Night and day. The light and the darkness. Moments spent alone in the togetherness. Smiling to yourself. Action.
Reflection. Answering questions and questioning answers.
Laughing through the pain of open-air camping, and sleeping on the sand. Rucksack for a pillow. Itchy and scratchy. Wet skin. Dry mouth.
Screaming in disbelief at the panoramic view from a hilltop villa the next day. Learning to ride. Teaching your mate clutch control. Falling down and getting back up. Feeling so alive in the adrenaline of it all. So at home in the newness. Knowing that there is someone behind you. This is what our trips are all about.
This is what it means to be on THE ROAD.
